The passing of Janet Dawn (Short) Jewett, wife of Hayward Jewett of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at York Care Centre.  Born on July 29, 1933 in McAdam, NB, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Adams) Short. Janet was a bookkeeper and was affiliated with Sunset Church.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Lynne Jewett; siblings, Ted Short (Irene), Violet Daye (Stan) Frances Purdue (Bob), Ethel Nason (late Ron); several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Acheson and Murray Short (Anice).

A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 1 pm with Pastor Jack Leaman officiating.  Interment will take place in Scotch Settlement Cemetery.
