Obituary of Ronald Henry Barton

The passing of Ronald Henry Barton of Oromocto, NB, occurred on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on December 4, 1955 in Fredericton, NB,  he was the son of the late Donna Somerville (Barton) King (late Daniel King).  Ron worked as a Labourer for Maple Leaf Homes for over 25 years. He was a talented artist and could draw anything you put in front of him, he also enjoyed going for walks, collecting coins, and especially meeting up with his friends at Tim Horton’s.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Leah Barton (Tom Meade) of Benton; sister, Ginny Peterson (Darrin Driscoll) of Fredericton; brothers, Danny King of Fredericton, Robin King (Maggie King) of Estey's Bridge and Dominic King (Sandi Taylor-King) of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and great-nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ron is predeceased by his brother, Donald King; infant brother, Charlie King; his grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a Graveside Service held in Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 2pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating.
