We welcome you to our
homes, and invite you to take a few minutes to get to know us.

Scott MacLeod
My brother, Jim, and
I are the owners and managers of York Funeral Home, which has been an
important part of the Fredericton North community since its
establishment in 1979. Following in our father's footsteps, and with
many thanks to the families we have served over the years, we have
established a good reputation in the Fredericton and surrounding area
as a caring family business.
Following graduation
from Fredericton High School in 1982, I began my training and
apprenticeship as a funeral director, and became a Licensed Funeral
Director in 1985. I am currently an active participant in the industry
in my role as board member on the New Brunswick Funeral Directors and
Embalmers Board. I was further honoured in 2005 by my peers on the New
Brunswick Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association, by being
nominated to represent New Brunswick on The Funeral Service
Association of Canada. I was recently appointed (2006) to chair the
national Education Committee. My participation at both provincial and
federal levels of the funeral industry assures that the families who
have come to trust us continue to receive the highest quality of
service, from our family and staff alike.
On a personal level,
my strength and support come from my 5 children: Harmony, Doug, Nick,
Kayla and Tommy. In my leisure time (when that's possible!), I enjoy
my commitment to coaching the St. Thomas University Men's Basketball
Team, and one of the many highlights of working with these young men
included earning silver at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association
National Tournament in 2004.

2001 to attend University. I began working at York Funeral Home, as an
Administrative Assistant, in January of 2005. While working here I’ve
learned the value of living a happy and fulfilled life; while making
each day count. Outside of work, I am a part – time Mary Kay
Consultant who enjoys being with her friends and watching the
occasional scary movie. |

Now that I have retired, the funeral homes are being managed under the
direction of James (Jim) and Scott MacLeod (sons).
When we opened the funeral home my wife Eleanor left the bank where
she was employed and worked with me as co-owner keeping the office in
order as well as myself.
