Phyllis Mason
1936-2010
The passing of Phyllis Kathleen (Atkinson) Mason, of Fredericton, NB,
wife of Archie Mason, occurred on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Dr.
Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 24, 1936 in
Springhill, NS she was a daughter of the late Murray and Florence
(MacLeod) Atkinson. Phyllis was affiliated with St. John the
Evangelist Anglican Church, Fredericton.
In addition to her husband, Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Cynthia MacDonald of Springhill, NS; sons, Archie Mason (Becky) of Hackett’s Cove, NS, Murray Mason (Diane) of Geary, NB and Brian Mason of Springhill, NS; 13 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Murray (James) of Matthew’s Settlement, NB, Evelyn Murray, Mary Betts (Howard), Sallie Dow (Walter) all of William’s Lake, BC, Marg Casey (Jack) and Florine Hunter (Kenneth) both of Springhill, NS; brother, Robert (Villa) Atkinson of Moncton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her siblings, Malcolm and David Atkinson.
There will be no visitation or service at this time. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Springhill, NS. For those who wish, remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted with York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB.
