James Cadger
The passing of James Cadger, husband of Beverley Cadger, occurred on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 5, 1944 in Millerton, NB, he was the son of the late James and Mary M. (Parker) Cadger. Jim was a person who loved the outdoors. He formerly served in the Canadian Armed Forces and was heavily involved in the Scouting Movement. Jim was an Agent Orange Veteran’s Advocate and initiated the Neighborhood Watch in his community.

Besides his wife, Jim is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Dannie) Seaman of Petite Riviere, NS; one brother, Leigh Cadger of Fredericton, NB; one step-son, Gordon (Karin) Savage of Eastern Passage, NS; one step daughter, Debbie Savage of Fredericton, NB; one grandson, Devan; step grandchildren, Caleigh and Joshua along with several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by one sister, Darlene Gordon.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 7-9pm. A memorial service will take place from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 7 pm. Interment will take place in the Centennial United Church Cemetery, Nashwaak Village at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Fredericton S.P.C.A or to the charity of the Donor’s choice. Personal Condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
